The best place to gather with others who truly love the same hobby as you is at conventions and trade shows. Conventions provide the ideal environment for people to gather together, talk about their hobby, share ideas, and buy, sell and trade their projects and collectibles. Baseball card collectors are some of the most dedicated and hard core hobbyists around the world. If you are a beginner or an advanced collector, here are some of the best baseball card conventions and gatherings that you may want to look into attending. You never know what you will find or what you will learn.

June- Tristar Houston Collectors Show

Located in Houston, Texas

This is one of the largest and most famous baseball and sports cards collectors conventions that is available for everyone to attend. This convention is located in the NRG Arena and is sure to impress everyone that walks in. There is a lot to do and see with over 100 different vendors to visit. This show features professional athletes, hall of famers, and legends that are available to sign cards and talk to their fans. Some of the most famous players that will be available to sign cards are Craig Biggio, Chris Chambliss, Will Clark and more. This convention takes place from June 4 to June 6.

June- Chicago Sports Spectacular

Located in Rosemont, Illinois

This convention also takes place from June 4 to June 6. It is located inside of the convention center and will have over 50 different vendors and take place over three days. It is an ideal place for baseball card collectors to gather and share their cards and stories. It is smaller than other shows, but provides a great opportunity to form bonds with other hobbyists.

July- The Chantilly Show

Located in Chantilly, Virginia

This show will take place from July 9 to July 11. It has a 1000 person capacity so it is important to reserve your spot at the show ahead of time. This show will also feature a live auction by Robert Edward Auctions. This auction will allow people from all over the country to come together to bid on some of the most collectible and rare finds in the baseball collectors dreams.

July and August- National Sports Collectors Convention

Location in Rosemont, Illinois

This is one of the largest and most well known shows. It will take place from July 28 to August 1. This show will feature an autograph pavilion where guests can bring their cards and memorabilia to get it signed by some of their favorite players. This will be the 41st annual show. Those who want to visit and attend the show can choose from different ticket packages so that they can attend and see everything that they dream of.

August- Wisconsin Dells Card Show

Located in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin

This is the largest and most visited Wisconsin sports card and memorabilia show. It will take place from August 20 to August 22 and will be hosted at the Kalahari Resorts and Convention Center. There is a small admission fee to enter the show, but the money is well worth it because hobbyists will be able to learn about many different things and see memorabilia that they never even knew existed.

August- Hofstra University

Located in Hempstead, New York

This show will take place from August 21 to August 22, pending Covid restrictions in the state of New York. Those who are interested in attending this show should check back with the show to ensure that it is still going to take place.

October- While Plains

Located in White Plains, New York

If you live on the east coast, this New York show may be a great show for you to visit. This show will have over 300 different tables set up to display, buy, sell and trade sports cards and memorabilia. There will be numerous authentication companies available to help authenticate cards and purchases. There will also be an auction where people can bid on a variety of different prized and rare items.

November- Chicago Sports Spectacular

Located in Rosemont, Illinois

Similar to the show that will be happening in June, there will be another show hosted in November. This show will include similar events and gatherings as the previous show, but will include different athletes and hall of famers.

November- White Plains

Located in White Plains, New York

This show is scheduled to occur in November in the Westchester County Center. It will have over 175 tables, a live auction and authentication companies available to answer questions.
